Now that summer is right on the horizon, you may be looking for ways for your business to make the most of the rising temperatures. Many businesses choose to run seasonal promotions so they can better cater to their customers’ interests. One of the best ways to communicate these promotions to customers is by using signage. Luckily, not all signs have to last forever and a day. Banners and corrugated plastic signs are both inexpensive, lightweight options to help you get the word out about your business’s latest campaigns quickly and look great doing it.
Banner Signs
Banner signs are a long-time favorite for use as temporary signs, and with good reason. They are among the most versatile signs available and can be made lickety-split. Complex designs can be UV printed with full-color graphics while simpler messages can make use of the more economical one-color lettering. You can also have your banner fashioned out of any of a wide variety of different materials.
Vinyl is far and away the most popular material for banners, and rightfully so. Vinyl’s lightweight but sturdy nature makes vinyl banners an attractive option for a whole host of applications.
Mesh banners are also created from vinyl, but the mesh material lets air flow through the sign. This makes the signs less vulnerable to flapping in the breeze and wind damage.
Then there are fabric banners, the most popular of which is nylon, though polyester and even satin are also available. Nylon is inexpensive and lightweight like vinyl, though not as sturdy. However, unlike vinyl, nylon is a porous material and can fully absorb the color when printed with graphics.
Corrugated Plastic Signs
Corrugated plastic is a crisp material that can have a professional look at a very reasonable price. Signs can be screen printed for one-color text and logos or digitally printed for intricate colors and designs. Corrugated plastic signs are much more rigid than banners and, accordingly, are much less inclined to flap in the wind. Though these signs won’t survive the elements over the long term, corrugated plastic can be exceptionally durable in the short term. Furthermore, steps can be taken to prolong the life of these signs, such as using inks that do not fade as easily in the sun.
LED Message Boards: The Permanent Temporary Sign
While temporary plastic signs and banners can be printed quickly and inexpensively as needed, there is a faster way to advertise seasonal messages. With an LED message board, your message can be updated instantly at no cost to you. You can amend your sign anytime you want, any way you want, from your computer or even your mobile phone. Although the initial investment is higher, an LED message board can absolutely be a worthwhile purchase.
Don’t be afraid to capitalize on your customers’ changing desires!
People want different things at different times. By offering your potential customers what they need when they need it, you won’t have to designate them as only “potential” for long. The best way to meet temporary demands is with temporary promotions, and the best way to execute a temporary promotion is with temporary signs.
